I Want To Tell You Something Today

I want to tell you something today.

I want to tell you that the darkness you feel is not totality. It is not a velvet cloak too thick to penetrate.

I want to tell you that the disease you feel spreading in your heart does not have the prognosis you think.

I want to tell you that there is nothing you could ever do that can outstretch Jesus’ grace. There is nothing you have done that has made God turn His back on you in disgust.

No sickness in your heart, or symptom in your life, will make God turn His face from you.

“He yearns jealously over the spirit he has made to dwell in us.”

His face is turned towards you today, every day. Yearning jealously for the heart He wishes to restore, to mold whole and full like a lump of clay.

“The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has overcome it.”

Speak Jesus’ name with me now, and see the light shine in the darkest of nights. See the blackness go away and feel the warmth of the pure light.

“A leper came to him [Jesus] and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.’ And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, ‘I will; be clean.'”

Jesus touched the leper and instead of becoming unclean himself, He made the leper clean. There is no darkness Jesus cannot and will not cast out. There is no “too unclean”.

I want to tell you something today. “I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
